Posh Peony is an event design firm specializing in floral design, specialty linen rental, stylish décor accents and even ambient lighting—creating completely custom and unforgettable environments for weddings and special events. With a collaborative approach, Cristina Barragan and her team listen closely to their brides while offering expert advice and imaginative ideas that will enhance any vision. They’ll even put together chic inspiration boards so you can easily visualize what they have in mind. The end result will be a uniquely designed, totally gorgeous event that will exceed every expectation.

Due to their extensive process and management of all the details, Posh Peony require a $5,000 minimum. On average, couples spend between $7,000 and $15,000 for full service floral and event design.

We truly listen to our clients and design a special event that is custom to their personality and style. We feel that our love for weddings inspires us to deliver quality, unique style, and an unforgettable atmosphere for our clients and their guests.
What are the common misconceptions about your services?
At first sight, many couples believe that they cannot afford our services for their big day. We specialize in creating innovative environments for all budget sizes.
What drew you to this field/how did you get started?
Our business started as a household hobby that quickly flourished into a successful design firm. After a few years, we had many clients and referrals that continued to keep us busy full time. Our love for flowers, linens, and décor inspired us to continue to grow and invest in making our company a reputable and sought-after design team.
What are some sources of inspiration or influences on your work?
Fashion magazines, wedding blogs, movies, art, music, architecture, and nature all inspire our work! There is beauty in everything and life in general inspires our designs and our love for weddings!
Tell us about a favorite, unusual or very interesting moment at a wedding:
Our favorite moment is seeing the bride walk down the aisle. There is never a dry eye when we see the gorgeous bride with her beautiful gown and flowers walking toward her future husband. The expression on his face is also priceless!
What makes a wedding memorable for you?
Weddings are most memorable when our couples allow us to personalize them. We don't like weddings to look "cookie-cutter" so we strive to have each wedding reflect our couples, their style, and personalities.
What have weddings taught you?
Weddings have taught us that all couples are not created equal! Every single couple that we've had the privilege to work with is different on so many levels and we make sure that each wedding reflects that. We love our couples and want their wedding day to be nothing less than a dream!
What is the best advice you give a couple when planning their wedding?
The best advice I can give a couple when planning their wedding is to relax and enjoy the process! When the big day comes, trust the professionals you hired and let them run the show. Don't stress the small things and let the professionals take care of the event while you sit back and take every moment in.
If you could have any superpower on the job, what would it be?
To have super amazing speed and set up everything in less than an hour!

Fun, creative, organized.
What's your favorite book/movie/work of art?
The Great Gatsby is a classic book full of excitement, romance, and style from the ultra glam 1920's era.
What's your favorite quote?

Extracurricular activities:
Hiking, jogging, gardening, cooking, baseball games, reading, cleaning, and organizing.
If you weren't in your current profession, what would you do instead?
Teaching. I love children and inspiring young minds!
What's your favorite way to wind down after a hard day?
Watching a movie and eating ice cream at home. Manicures, Pedicures, and the spa are also nice :)
Tell us about your pets, if you have any.
I own 5 dogs! Pomeranian named Obie, Weimaraner named Dexter, Huskies Kemp and Lily, and a German Shepherd mix named Dodger. They are my loves!
What are some of your favorite places to eat—either everyday spots or special occasion splurges?
Absolutely love pizza and thai food! Fleming's for special occasions. Everyday spots would have to be Panera Bread and BJ's.
